Senior National Omnium Champs
After the disappointment of a DNS, It was back to the track for the Senior National Omnium Championships in Derby, armed with a much bigger gear and some more experience racing professionals,
I was hopeful that I’d manage to qualify for the Omnium final.
The qualifying race was a 60 lap points race which was even faster qualifier than Senior Track Nationals, I just missed out on qualifying by two places. Despite my disappointment with this I was happy with how I performed in the race and I refocused and raced in the GP events for the rest of the day, where I managed to collect a few top 10 places.

Bovington
Another big block of road races approached with Bovington National as my first Junior National after Hatherleigh’s DNS.
Bovington was a good race. It was around a tank training ground with a rolling course and a few short punchy hills and we had a proper sunny day for a change in the UK. Unfortunately I started at the back of the peloton so had to move up a lot during the race however I was feeling good and optimistic that we’d catch the break. However the chase was blocked by riders teammates and a misplaced feed limited me to two bottles and messed up my nutrition and hydration, limiting me to a mid-bunch finish.
