My name is Thomas Adby. I’m 16 years old and currently race for Bristol Cycling Development Squad. At the moment I race road and track however I would like to start racing some TTs as a junior.
As a U16 I finished 7th in the National Rankings and loved competing in almost all of the National Series. I managed to qualify for the National Omnium Final in my last year as a youth and I loved the racing and the experience, I even managed to win the points! At the N.Y.O Qualifying round in Bournemouth, In the Points Race, I managed to lap the field and win the final sprint which was absolutely crazy but exactly what I went into the race wanting to achieve after a day of not the best results.
This performance also played a large factor into my selection to represent the South Team at the 2021 School Games, which was an amazing experience with my teammates.

The Points Race is my favourite track race however I enjoy all the endurance events as well as Road and Circuit Racing.
I’m currently in Year 12 and studying Maths, Physics, Biology and Sport Science which amounts to a lot of work around my racing and training, however should give me the qualifications I need for later life.
